It is possible to leave school with no debt. Just join the Marines, serve three years, get the GI Bill and unemployment, make hippie leather goods and you're set. Worked for me. My point is there are ways to get through school without incurring a lot of debt. My favorite is do extremely well in high school academically and/or in sports, and let the universities fight over who gets you. I hope my daughter does that but, in case she doesn't, I've set aside money for her education.
there is no such thing as a free lunch, my friend. One can go to school on a GI bill, but he'll still see some of that cost coming to him in his taxes. Just sayin'
