aren't we all image conscious about our rigs? Thats why I love the funky yellow cones on my markbass and the shiny silver on my hartke cones

100% true. but since i have a choice in the matter, i like using rigs that look cool as well as sound awesome.I will buy the cab of my choice if it was only the sound. A guitarist in one group i play with thinks the hartke 410 xl sounds best,, so I use it,,even though it's heavy,,,I must admit though,,when I look at those aluminum coned drivers,,, I think "I'm gonna makes those metal things wail",,,hence I play better. It's just music,,,you can make the cheapest of things sound good if you put your feelings into it imo
No. I don't care what it looks like. I care about:
-sound
-ergonimics - I'm an old fart with a bad back. I'm not moving 8x10s

even tho' i'm the only one who sees it i still like the looks of old school gear.....i'm still looking for a fridge or a matching 2x15 for my v4b,and another mesa cab for my 400+aren't we all image conscious about our rigs? Thats why I love the funky yellow cones on my markbass and the shiny silver on my hartke cones
