Is Fender phasing out the MIM Road Worns?

Don’t believe road worns are part of their current product line. Aside from the artist signatures.
The 50s Road Worn Precision has been purged from Fender, Sweetwater, Musicians Friend, and Guitar Center sites.
Vandals are in short supply these days. Fender's professionals are doubtless working elsewhere.
Probably the truth although they are definitely worth more than a MIM standard regardless of the nitro finish. I think 800-899 would have been a fair price for them new. Over $1k is too much.
I was able to snag a 60s Road worn strat from guitar center for $500. They probably just thought it was a beat up mexican strat

I have owned 3 and still have 2. I wish Fender would have expanded the line. They were generally lightweight and played great. The early RW Jazzes also didn't have the odd CNC holes under the pickguard so you could take the guard off if you wanted.
Price creep on the Mexican instruments seemed to hit them pretty hard. I have to imagine they cost a little more to produce labor wise too. I have a 50's P and the JMJ Mustang they're both awesome
With Fenders, availability and desireability are at opposite ends of the stick. It's weird.
As successful as the Road Worn series appeared to be it would be hard to imagine that they would not come up with something similar in the near future. Perhaps a spin off from the Vintera series.
