Is Genz Benz Neox-112T mismatched with Shuttle 6.0?

Chris or Scott will give you a call back shortly.

Rattles and buzzes are something that are unfortunately endemic to bass cabinets (and subs) by every manufacturer and it can be something as simple as a small piece of debris stuck to the back side of the surround, or a loose handle screw, or a crossover plate screw or part that's touching another part.

any Genz Benz employees want to chime in? Still eagerly awaiting a call from Chris.:D
I have no doubt that they'll take care of me...they are a Top Notch Company!
Didn't they already ask you to send it in and they'll check it? Not sure what else you're expecting. If it's your only cab, do you have a friend you could borrow something from in the meantime? Now is probably not the time, but if you're a gigging bass player, you really should have a spare head and cab, even if it's something really inexpensive for these kind of gotcha's. They are going to happen.

I have been away for a little while..but I just wanted to say that Genz Benz has my vote for the absolute best company I have ever dealt with in my 25 years of playing music. Not only was Chris extremely helpful, but I got a call the very next day from Jeff Genzler...and he wanted to know what exactly was going on with my rig...He was genuinely concerned and wanted to take whatever steps possible to rectify the problem. He went WAY above and beyond what I ever expected, sent me a new speaker right away, and he called me back to follow up to make sure the issue was fixed. It turns out the speaker must have been defective because the new speaker sounded perfect!!! What tremendous customer service! (try that with most other companies...Good luck) Anyway, I will continue to use Genz Benz products first and foremost because the products are amazing, but because they genuinely care about their customers and ultimately want us to be 100% satisfied with our purchase. Again, thank you SO much Jeff and gang!!! I will be ordering another extension cabinet soon and one of their guitar amps for my studio:hyper: (that's me jumping for joy)

It Genz Benz all the way for me. Don't think i will bother with any other gear now. If i need to re think my rig it will be a GB rig. The customer service is just out of this world.

It seems like I've gotten the bug on my cab(NeoX 212T) too. I was at practice tonight and we were going over the set list and about an hour and a half in, I noticed that my sound was off....really bad. After practice was over, I played some by myself and noticed that the sound was only noticable if the volume was turned up more that 1/4 and was especially evident when playing on or below the A string. This couldn't have come at a worse time for me because I have a gig with my new band this saturday night. Should I just give it till the next practice to see if it just needed to be broken in(I've had the cab since last september) or get some new speakers on the way? A friend of mine can get me some Eminence Neo's in the next day or two and I don't have the time to send my stuff to GB to have them look at it. This is just really frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.

just for the fun of it.
try running a 1/4" guitar cable in and out of the Effects SEND and RETURN jacks on the back of the amp a dozen times or so... its a long shot, but sometimes those contact point become dirty from atmospheric junk and condensation and they break connection form the preamp to the power amp section of the amp..
It may not be it . but just try it. if there is a dirty jack that action will cure it most times.

after you run the jacks in and out like that a few times try the amp again and see if it is better..
Like i said it is a long shot..

that looks identical to the speaker I just pulled from my bergantino AE112. It had a low volume distortion type sound. At all volumes, and on all low notes. Speaker was blown. Berg sent. New one, and all is well. I bet yours is blown too. I really want a neox-112t someday. My 212 version is so insanely awesome.

UPDATE--

Looks like it was just that the speaker cab wasn't fully broken in yet. I took the advice on here and hooked up my laptop and played some music through it to get the cones moving for about 3 1/2 one night and had 2 more practices with it. The sound seems to have gone away. I had no problems at my gig saturday night and was plenty loud. Thanks fellas.
