Bass 3-- my guess-- it's a Jazz... I think you're doing a great job getting a P sound out of it, but the D-string F at the end of the figure seems kind of pinched and missing that low mid whatnot that a P puts out....
Boy, that's a tough one. And I do solo the neck when I need a P sound.
I'm going to guess P due to the strong mids. I didnt hear a hint of single coil shimmer, but you didnt pluck none!
Like a P with some treble and rounds maybe.

I've been asking myself this question... Maybe that's one of the reasons I started this, so I can convince myself that I can sell most of my basses.
I only own two electric basses at the moment, but since I started playing double bass two years ago I've come to the conclusion that it is important to get to know your instrument (this is especially true with the DB) and I think that if you have too many basses you never get to know them intimately.
