I feel sick to my stomach with guilt about ending this band. You really think I haven't pulled the trigger on this because I'm "too busy?"
And this goes along with my previous post. Wow - really? Is this the Morgensterne Band?
Here is a lesson that again - you need to learn, which makes me think you are <25 or have a lot of emotional growing up to do.
If YOU end the band is over? Here is another dose of reality - There is someone, in fact multiple someones, out there that that plays better, sings better, and is easier to get along with than you.
It makes you sick to your stomach? Seriously? Is this placing the big opening spot on the Def Lepp/Motley Crue/Posion tour position in jeopardy? are these guys professionals and you just put someone out of work?
The only thing that will "end" this band is the remaining members choosing to quit. And, based on "FACE TO FACE CAN LITERALLY KILL" comment - it sounds like they should have no problem taking the time to find that person. If they decide to muster on they can find a new person, change the set list, step up their vocals, find a backup singer, get a TC Helicon vocal processor. I can go on all day. But wow - let's make it all about you.
If you have family personal / reasons that you don't want to or feel you can't do this band thing anymore (Covid or whatever) good for you. Be an adult, make your decision, and do the courteous thing. And if you REALLY are the glue holding this fragile delicate musical endeavor together - that's even more reason to do things that way.
Stop being a drama queen self-indulgent child, and be a courteous, professional, adult, who can do what they believe is right, and do it in a way that is the least painful/confusing/upsetting for all involved.
Man - I know that is harsh, but seriously. Get a grip. There is another problem our world has evolved into; Not telling people about reality when they are doing their damnedest to ignore it because it might hurt their feelings. Sometimes your feeling hurt because you are doing the wrong thing. This is one of those times. The EASY way to feel better is to do the right thing. And their are nearly 20 pages of everyone telling you what that is. Yet you are still arguing with them instead of saying "Yeah everyone - I hear you. It seems pretty clear the best thing for me to do is..."
