A few years back I saw Fishbone and the show was awesome, but they had the subs turned up so loud that you could feel it deep down within your colon... I know I wasn't alone because whenever Norwood would hit a really low note, everyone standing around me got the same look of obvious intestinal confusion and discomfort plastered on their face.

TL;DR

I think this is brilliant marketing, by setting the price that high, they create buzz. These are being talked about on several forums that I belong to (there are 4 listed close to a million and 1 around 300K). Very smart to create buzz, though I will say they're beautiful.
