Is it worth it?

I am not really a fan of combos, wish i had a half stack, but that's a bit too pricey. been looking at a used fender bxr 200 w (max 540 w) to play at shows for 200$. is it worth it?

Yep! Are U in USA?? I'm in AUS so I dunno what they go 4 there??????? BUT IMHO the old Fender BXR amps are damn good- they still go well whenever I see them & still sound good- thats testament to 'em working well AFAIK. I only played a 300w combo-a 1x15" & it rocked!!

Unless you have gigs booked already, hold off until you can afford something that you'll be happy with. There's nothing worse than buying something and having to upgrade 6 months down the line.

Not sure what 'max 540w' means but I used to own a BXR200 combo amp and it was frikkin' loud for only 200w! $200 is a decent price. Try going lower but if no dice, $200 is cool if it's in good shape. It's heavy too. Not quite as heavy as a Peavey TNT but close.

540 watts max. yeah. i get to go check it out today. i thought of getting that or another bass for my birthday, but i figured that i'm happy with my 2001 fender jazz bass and i have a dingy practice amp, so i should just get something bigger.
