Is it wrong to sticker your bass?

If Bobby can have a shark on his bass anybody else can go to town.
 
My only issue with stickers is how they age, particularly when they start to lift, or tear after lifting.

So my next sticker bass is gonna start with an unfinished body, which I'll fill, prime, sticker then poly. Figure a few layers of poly ought to keep the corners down and the print intact.

Started collecting the stickers two tours ago, only problem now is the wife has the same idea for them, but she want's to redo the top of the basement bar with them. May have to tour more often...
warning: poly will make the ink run on some stickers which may or may not be to your liking.:)
