Is Kalium having issues or is this normal?

Yes. Chris who takes those photos has nothing to do with customer service or dispatch, even if he did he has a right to a life outside work.

But he IS an employee of the company. And using the company IG to flaunt your personal life while customers can't get CS calls returned is in poor taste. I am in disbelief that you can't grasp that.

I just thought i should clarify, when i say a 'hate club' has formed i do not imply everyone here is part of it, it's just a few people.

they don't know how to run a business and use social media appropriately
Please read my posts, i have recently explained that those so-called party pics on IG are taken at concerts by Kalium Strings artists, so they are appropriate. The red rocks park photos are of a Kalium Strings artist Jinmo who was visiting to give a concert.

Please read my posts, he has nothing to do with customer service or dispatch, and probably could not take those on as Kalium is a 2nd job for him on top of a day job. That's not his personal life as i explain above, the photos are Kalium related, and he is artist relations for Kalium, so in a way it is his job to hang out with musicians. Occasionally he throws in an unrelated photo but it's not often.

Yes i can understand a frustrated customer feeling bad seeing those photos, but only if they don't know the facts and make assumptions. This is partly why i have posted what i have.
I swear none of my customers will ever be allowed to see my personal Facebook page.
That's not his personal life as i have explained many times.

Twice now it has been suggested that they are giving preferential treatment to endorsers at the expense of other customers, on no evidence, obviously endorsing artists 'seem' happy but that's only because they are endorsing artists.
I won't defend their obvious sloppiness but i will defend them against accusations made on no evidence, or attacks on their IG usage based on wrong assumptions.

Because i find their project so revolutionary i am very disappointed in what's been happening, and i have let them know it too. However i see obsessive and ridiculous nasty attacks made here by a few so am pointing these out, like i said a 'hate club' has formed.

'Hate clubs' of a company don't form without many many upset ex-customers.

I have no idea why you are defending a company who apparently has no clue how to run a business. There are several ways to inform your customers if there are problems with delivering whatever you're selling. Kalium does not do a damned thing, like using Facebook, or the website, or mail, or even coming in on this thread to stand up for their shi..y behavior. It is terrible publicity to post those party pics in a situation like they are in.

Anyway, they lost me as a customer. I have a set of D'Addario balanced tension strings waiting for me to try out when I get home from vacation. Kalium is history. I will not order from them again and will advise anyone who cares to listen to do the same.

Edit: another member of the hate club

Feel free to form any hate club you want but leave me out of it.
I've been internet buddy with Skip for 15 years. I have followed the birth of his concepts with passion, the invention of the Quake and the vain look for strings that did the job, which eventually lead to Circle K.
Although it didn't happen in the end, I talked high end French shops into having a couple Quakes in display.
I mass ordered and distributed strings for 15+ people from Onlybass to help them spread the good word.
I last ordered Kalium strings maybe 4 months ago and probably will again in the future because the product is awesome and to me, worth the trouble.
It's even more desperating to see them losing business because they can't manage steady logistics and communication.

Please, reread my post....he is an employee of the company the the public face to many. While he's out having fun (and posting about it on the company account) customers can't get calls and emails answered. No one is saying he can't have a life, but it's in poor taste to use company social media like that given the total lack of response to customers.

I'm an ex-customer, too, after my third set of strings I ordered a month in advance (from one state away) didn't ship in time for a show/studio gig I decided to take my business elsewhere. I would have been happy to arrange for local pickup - I would have driven to go get my strings - but never got a call/email back.

I made an order on July 10th and it shipped on July 11th. This was my second order from Kalium and it has been a positive experience.
An update. As was said previously, I made the order on July 10th, they shipped July 11th, and I received them today (July 17th). I live in Canada ... so I'd say comfortably, my experience was very positive. Let me be clear: I'm in no way invalidating other people's negative experiences. I'm just trying to provide some balance.

Sorry, there is no balance for behaving like Kalium did.

Just wondering what postal carrier people are choosing? For international I have the choice between DHL & USPS.

Has anyone had more, or less, issues with one or the other?

I've never had issues with USPS - once the order was actually SHIPPED, it would usually get to me in 1-2 days. The problem was waiting 3+ weeks for it to actually ship when being quoted 3-6 days shipping time.
