Is Kalium having issues or is this normal?

They're not on vacation as far as i know, and those instagram photos do not show a vacation. Chris had some friends visit for his birthday (which is why there are lots of party photos) and they visited the local Red Rocks Park. People are allowed a life outside work and vacations.

Okay. Fine. They aren't filling/shipping orders, they aren't returning emails/phone calls, they aren't communicating with customers at all via social media or otherwise, and their official company Instagram is all photos of one of them chillin' with his friends. I think that's tacky and only makes disgruntled would-be customers less likely to do business with them. Come at me.

The shocking part is that it's been like that for at least 3 years now, according to past threads here.

The Instagram photos are by Chris who has nothing to do with customer service or dispatch, he is a part-timer who runs the website and does artist relations.
Latest photo: backstage pass to meet King Crimson.
There are photos of his own bass gear, which is relevant. The red rocks park photos are of a visit by his Japanese friend Jinmo Avantattaque who is an avant-garde guitarist and Kalium strings user.
The chilling / party photos are of birthday celebrations with musician friends and where there was a concert by Jinmo.
Because he is not uptight and over-serious he throws in some cute / funny / offtopic stuff too, about 5% of photos? That's no problem their instagram is not meant to be deadly-serious, they are a tiny company after all.

But certainly you can understand how frustrating it is for someone waiting on product with no information to see glib party pics on their IG, right?

You can tell by their lack of ability to deliver product that people have paid for that they are not serious about it. Being a tiny company is no excuse. Delivering product should be the #1 priority, not hanging out with King Crimson. Otherwise they will continue to be tiny....or worse. I'll bet their artists they hang out with get their strings, but not the customers who pay for them. How does that make Kalium look?

Yes. Chris who takes those photos has nothing to do with customer service or dispatch, even if he did he has a right to a life outside work.

So they have no right to a life outside work or social life?
Chris is 'artist relations' for Kalium, so it's partly his job to hang out with musicians.
I'll bet their artists they hang out with get their strings, but not the customers who pay for them.
That's just a nasty suggestion, Chris is in a different state to Skip who dispatches, so those artists in the photos have to wait for their order like everyone else, and as i wrote before, i've seen them complaining about lack of communication and slow dispatch.

Because i find their project so revolutionary i am very disappointed in what's been happening, and i have let them know it too. However i see obsessive and ridiculous nasty attacks made here by a few so am pointing these out, like i said a 'hate club' has formed.

Really? More like a "People Who Want What They Ordered Delivered On Time Club" or maybe a "People Who Like Companies To Respond After They Have Taken Their Money Club". Your constant defense of them is rather sickening considering all the documented cases of them FAILING at their job. It's almost like you can't even admit that any of these incidents have happened. It's not fake news. It is real.

You have every right to be frustrated with the bad service of course, but it goes too far sometimes.

I know very well that customer service and communication has been really bad, and dispatch times slow without warning, and orders lost when maybe they shoud make more effort to find a new shipper. I've been a pain in their ass sending messages asking them to sort this or that out.
The habit that a few have in these threads is exaggerated rants, i'm just trying to have a balanced impassionate overview.

They are just getting what they deserve. It's very simple: they don't know how to run a business and use social media appropriately. No ifs or ands about it.
