Is Kalium having issues or is this normal?

I've been emailing back and forth with Kalium the last couple days. They have been very responsive and helpful.

From what I gather on this thread and their Facebook page, they recently completed a major move and along with NAMM have probably been pretty busy. I too run an internet business and I know how backed up things can get with shipping, even when using something as "simple" as USPS. IMO companies like Amazon are spoiling everyone these days. Years ago it was not strange or unheard of to wait 2 weeks for a package with no update from the shipper.

Yeah but this thread started back in August. Well before NAMM. Well before the move. There are other threads going back 2-3 years with the same issues.

Are circle K strings shipping still??????

You have a valid point. I haven't ordered from them so I can't speak from experience but hopefully the move and new staff have solved any issues. To me, the fact that they have such out of the ordinary strings and are willing to email back and forth with customers about finding the right set means a lot so I'm willing to give them a chance.

Maybe it's my age but, pre-internet / tracking, i would mail order something then expect to have no communication and would happily wait 2 weeks for it to arrive ("please allow 2 weeks for delivery" was normal, sometimes 28 days was stated as a maximum) so i am often surprised now impatient people are. However of course, Kalium need to state the expected dispatch times.

and THIS, I think, is the real issue here. At least it is for me. :)

I ordered a set of strings on February 8th. They were delivered today on the 11th with no problem. I received several emails when my order was processed and shipped along with tracking information. Only 4 days of waiting for a very uncommon set. Sounds great to me :)

Can't wait to try them out!

Just to add another opinion.. I recently took the plunge for my first 5-string Kalium set, after having heard good things about them..

I got into a great e-mail conversation with Skip, who advised me on better gauges to achieve the tension that I wanted. I run A/D/G/C/F constantly on a thru-body 35" bass, so the tension with 'normal' strings was low. I was intrigued to see the difference in a balanced-tension set.

Shipping took a little longer, as it was international to the UK.. but nothing that I wouldn't expect. Ended up with a 'Import Duty' charge, but that happens from time to time. Certainly not a fault of Kalium.

I'm sad to see there are so many negative comments & hopefully the team can get back on top of what is an excellent product.
I do agree that contact with paying customers is paramount.. honestly is definitely the best policy & if there is an issue/delay with an order.

Great experience for me, so hopefully things are improving.

Glad to hear your experience was positive! Team ADGCF in the house!
I have to say, without question, these are the best strings I've used for this kind of tuning.. thick, beefy & clear!

The Hybrids are certainly more subtle than some of the really 'clangy' steels I've used... and the sheer size of the low strings is reassuringly, well, bass-like. :)

They seem to work incredibly well on a 34", as well as a 35" bass. That surprised me...

This can happen with any company. I just got a shipping confirmation from BSO for my order I made on Feb 16th. This was from the shipping label generation. They haven't even entered the mail system yet.

Happy to look into your order and let you know what went on with it. You receive a tracking number as soon as the label is generated. We have our USPS pickup around 3PM-4PM Pacific Time but still please allow a bit for the tracking to update in their system.
