Really, their customer service is top-freakin' notch.
Here's one of my Lakland C/S stories:
Called them up to say "ya know, I love my 5501 in my hands, but for me it sucks, sonically speaking...How would y'all feel about stuffing some Nordstrand DC5's in there, adding the new LH3 preamp, and some coil taps for the pickups."
Their response?
"Yeah, sure, here's an RA number. Let us know when you want it done.."
They turned it around in two days people.
Would Fender do that for you?

Rip their guts out, and replace them with what you wanted in there, smile and say thanks for choosing us for your service work?
Lakland are straight up aces in my book, in terms of product, support, and people.
