Is my GAS gone for good??

GAS go away? Yeah, right.....it never goes away, but it does metamorphosize sometimes.
Mine moved from buying basses to building basses. I have absolutely no GAS at a GC or any other music store, but open the Warmoth web site, and.....OOOOHHH!
I'm right now in the middle of a build. A few parts stuck....they'll have to wait util my suppliers re-open their shops, but...then, somehow, the toughest part to get (the neck, which is ordered from a supplier that is supposedly closed) is on its way. Which changed the game on a couple other parts - I was in no hurry, because the neck was limiting the build, but as that's unlocked. So.... at least to start, I'm trying a different pickup and a different color bridge than I had envisioned because....they're available. Will they end up on that instrument forever? No idea, but the current climate has me trying out some different things - may or may not be a good thing.

Just visit the Mexican restaurant, order extra beans, u will be good!
There is a red Fender "Road Worn" model P-Bass for sale around here for $800 Canadian Pesos.
I'd be at least tempted to give it a road test if it wasn't for this isolation thing. Don't want to go to anyone's house and breathe his air.

It's a weird feeling, isn't it. I have experienced the same thing. I have two P's, two J's, and a Ric 4003S, and even though I occasionally enjoy looking at basses for sale (just for the fun of it), I find myself being totally happy with the five basses that I currently have. And if you knew my 48 year history of playing bass, you would know how odd it is for me to be GAS-less for basses. But I just don't have bass GAS. It's shocking!
Already have a nefarious plan in place - sell this, trade that, and get a...... jazz bass. Nothing wrong with the the basses I have, but realized that I have a bass or two that are too similar to each other and can do without one. I currently don't have a jazz bass and miss having one. So either a MIM Fender or a Sire for me.

the FrankenSquier is actually the bass for which I've been searching for 10 years...turns out I had to build it.
But there is the one bass I still want to get - a regular ol' passive [edit: USA-Made] Jazz V. I just can't get it until I get into a bigger place. I don't have the space for a 4th guitar under the bed...and the money I don't spend in order to not get it right now, will help me get there sooner...

Even pre-virus, I've been feeling pretty satisfied and content. Now I'm riding a wave of gratitude. Love my parts-cision and Mark combo!
I like the tort on red. What models are your Fenders? Being content is very difficult but a very admirable trait.
I think it's called gear porn for a reason. You look at it and think, yeah, that'd be nice. But between the drugs and the daddy issues, you know it's gonna be too much trouble to do anything about it.
Oh yeah, I bet you are really a guitar player. REAL bass players always have GAS!
I don't really have GAS too badly these days. I don't NEED anything. J (G&L JB-2 Tribute) with rounds, Roscoe Classic P with flats, Roscoe active 5 string fretted and fretless. The G&L is the weak link but actually a really nice bass for what it is and I don't really go for a jazz tone that often. I didn't have a lot of GAS to replace it.
I sometimes GAS for another Roscoe as they are my go to bass/brand. An older LG 5 with a spalted fingerboard and red cedar body with a maple top is what Roscoe means to me when I started researching them.

I feel the same man. I literally feel extremely lucky to own 5 of the most beautiful basses I could hope for and as of now want for nothing. A 72 pbass, a 63 pbass, a pino, a AO p, and a fretless 98 stingray. Here they are:
