Is the ibanez k5 that bad?

Definitely the player that gives the bass a 'bad' name - Fieldy is the guy after all who says variable midrange control lets him '..take the midrange and turn that sh* off!...'

With that kind of attitude he could make ANY bass sound...Fieldish - anyway, who am I to criticize, the guy's successful, and unique.

Since Fieldy doesn't play like all these wanker purists on this site would like him to (so he therefore has a unique sound) they just dish out the hate. Like everyone before me I'd just suggest ignore what anyone says because aside from you and other bassists, no-one will know it's a Fieldy sig model.

Obviously you shouldn't judge the bass according to really bad recordings such as this in which all tone and musicality is lost. Obviously the sound guy was biased and mixed the drums fairly well but couldn't get anything better than a distorted rubberband tone for poor Fieldy.
