Oh yeah. I've been on talkbass for 11 years and have been reading it longer. Over the years I've read that all music was recorded with a P bass.

Another interesting tidbit is that the P bass was the first stringed bass instrument. The upright bass was invented to get the same sound as a P bass but look more like the other stringed instruments at the time. This is totally possible since Leo Fender is a shape-shifting alien with a time machine.

I would love to have a Pbass that looked like this (top, color, fretboard and blocks) that wouldn't cost me as much as this one cost. Also the with the Lakland USA playability

Im an old man now and everything i ever needed to know in life i learned from a p bass.

Which bass would that be?

It's an SX Hadean. Basically an Ibanez Soundgear with 2 P's and VVT controls. I also have a Yamaha RBX 260 that I added a bridge P to with the same controls. However, I have a J with Dimarzio Model J's in it that sounds similar to the other two. I just prefer the aesthetics and 24 frets of the other two.
