Just was looking at the EB site and when selecting the Short Scale Stingray I saw banners that said "x number of basses left - order soon" or something to that effect. The value of X depended on the color you selected. Are they discontinuing it??

Is the short scale Stingray being discontinued?

Probably not, they've been releasing those in special colors in limited numbers, if I recall correctly 50 of each. When that special run is out, they'll probably release a new set in new colors.
OK that's a relief - been wanting one but not ready to pull the trigger on a purchase. Was hoping I wouldn't need to buy before I'm ready.
