Hi All! Have you used the B1x in a professional recording situation and not just for demos or at home? I like some of these effects and sounds and for our new studio project I am considering to use it, but became a bit unsure whether this unit is capable of producing any professional level sounds or is it just a "toy"? Your advise is much appreciated! Thank you!

I see Zoom just released G2Four and G2XFour:
Which basically are G1Four and G1XFour with a more solid case + some plus (such as headphones-out and especially real not plastic pedal).
Unfortunatly No 3party IR features, and the management software seems me more limitated then before. The price also is the double.
I'd like to know if they are going to release B2Four and B2XFour.
But maybe a compact version of B6 would be more appreciated in that not-cheap range of price.

Does it use the same FX format as the _1Four series? If so, you should be able to port over any of the effects from the B1Four/A1Four/G1Four.I see Zoom just released G2Four and G2XFour:

I don't know how it is possible to access the Zoom effects manually because I always used only Zoom Lab to manage them.
Looking the effects list: it seems me they are the same of the G1Four and the user interface changes only a little so I think the effects format should be probably the same.
But, even if the operation is possible, I'd prefer to wait the offical bass version if the want to do it.
I have B1XFour and it is great, the only things I don't like is the hardware: plastic pedals, no power on/off button, no headphones out. All this things are implemented in the new serie. But I'm not sure I want to pay the double for having the same product only with a better case.
Also, nowdays, not inlcuding a 3party IR features in a new product thet coeast around 200$ is a big mistake by the producer.
I honestly don't want to harshly criticize Zoom because I'm immensely happy with the B1four and B3n for the price that I paid for them brand new, but this new G2Four unit looks laughable to me given the price they're asking. That has to be the slowest UI, and one of the worst screens I've ever seen since the early 1990's Casio-style watches.
Skip to 9:20 as he creates a patch, I would throw this thing at the wall after an hour of frustration, even it sounds good. It isn't just the video recording either, he shreds the UI and screen at the 20:52 mark and calls it one of the worst screens he's ever used...
Zoom goal was easy: give us a B1four without plastic. Unfortunatly, I see they are moving to ruin a perfect product and ask a lot of money for the new one.
I'm also still surprise the ms-60b is still in production and costs so much. B1four was their excellent mix between quality and price and it makes me feel disappointed they are downgrading quality.
Using the "Delay" is possible to tap tempo? If not, how is possibile to workaround it? It seems me unuseful otherwise

They have effects source files at Zoom, so they can convert them into any format they want or need. I'd say effect-wise all zoom pedals are the same, bigger models just have better electronics, higher processing power, better quality. However, the fact is: they haven't added any new effects for quite a long time.
Good thing about B1-four - it is possible to load effects from G1/A1-four and/or upper models, G3-5-11. They all use the same format, except for multi-page effects/amps.

Finally got mine... And man. Do I friggen love it. I love the heck outta this thing. I played my bass for 6 hours straight as soon as I got it, learning how to shape tones and everything. I finally got a tone out of it I couldn't get from my amp alone, replicating the tone I create in garage band. This pedal is amazing. If there is better tones than this, I don't even wanna know. I'm happy as heck with this sound

Input: 100-240V -50/60Hz Max 0.3A
Output:4.5W 9.0V 0.5A
I think if I'm able to understand the mA of "Zoom AC Adapter AD-16E" it will be possible for me to understand which mA multy-power-supply output fits better.
But I really don't know this lind of things. Can anyone help me?

Zoom lists the power specs for the B1 Four as requiring 9v DC at 500mah, with the center tip of the output being negative. (aka, 0.5A). Any power supply capable of putting out those specs should work.
Some multi power supplies give you multiple ports with different mah ratings (like 100mah, 300mah, 500mah, etc), but usually (almost always) offer at least one 500mah port.
I'm no expert, but as I understand it - you can safely plug into a port that offers more amperage than needed (like a 9v, 1A port for example) because the device (the B1 Four in this case) will only draw the 500mah it needs.
What you CAN'T do is go higher on the voltage. For example, you should never use a 12v/15v/20v output on a device that requires only 9v to operate.
Hooking up higher voltages will release the "magic smoke" - and that's....bad.
Again, I'm no expert and someone please correct me if I'm wrong...but this is how I understand it to be with power supplies.

Why would you ever need it when the unit perfectly feeds from USB? Hook to any mobile charger and that's it.
I can only speak for myself, but I like the idea of a stand alone power bank for a few reasons.
Less cables under my feet on a gig, less worry about finding a close/convenient wall outlet & I like the idea of being isolated from a venue's potentially shoddy wiring (ground issues, power surges, sags, etc.)
I just picked up a Mission Engineering 529P to power my Zoom B6 - I feel much more comfortable powering it this way than relying on some random venue's power.

In the case to add an external analogic preamp pedal: is it better to have it connected before of after the Zoom B1 Four?
