Quick question, can you use the B1X four as a whammy? I don't have the money to buy an expression pedal + pitchfork/digitech whammy or anything of the sort.

There are pitch-shifting pedal effects, so yes, you can simulate whammy to certain extent. Youtube even has this:

I have one, I like it. It's not the X version. I have the one without the vol/wah pedal. I had the pedal version of the B1ON and found that I really didn't use it. But then I'm not a vol-wah pedal guy, so that probably has something to do with it...
I heavily use the cab and amp sim models as well as the compressor, HPF and LPF models.
I have that going into an Ampeg SCR-DI. It all fits on a pedaltrain nano. Life is good!

i was blown away by those very effects in the Zoom products.
and the preamps!
if the B1 Four sounds close to the B2-Four and B6-ish, i'll be set!
i will be using a QSC CP12, 1,000 watt 2 way powered monitor.
i ordered the NON-X version.

I landed here after having the B6 for a few months... Now I've ordered a B1X Four. Not instead of, but as well as. I like the idea of a much smaller unit for certain situations, and as an add-on to the B6 (the movable FX loop is great), as I can sometimes run out of juice with the B6.
I love the fact that you can (apparently easily) import other FX from several other Zoom units.
i used the B1-Four in the FX loop of the B6 for a minute.
worked great.
do tell on how to import FX from other Zoom units.

I still plan on keeping & using my B1 Four even though my B6 is fantastic.
It's just hard to beat the B1 Four's small footprint for throwing it in a gig bag to take to practices, or if a super cramped gig situation arises.
As the B1X Four will be essentially my 'plan B' small multiFX, the plan is to go through all the built-in FX, and just keep the ones I'm most likely to use, then go hunting for other cool tools from the other units. I think I may disappear into my 'toy room' for a couple of weeks
I was very very tempted to get the B1 Four precisely because with such a small size it becomes very easy to take anywhere. I just felt I might miss the expression pedal sometimes and it doesn't have an expression pedal input. I wish it had, that way you could choose to only take it when you need it... It would not be unconceivable that I might get a B1 Four or G1 Four in the future as well
