is there a 4 ohm cab that's rated 500 watts?

There are many. Personally I'd have the Barefaced Super Twin. But then, I'm not you.

My Schroder 15PL is rated at 600 watts.
Avatar. Fantastic Cabs but Resale sucks. I couldn't give mine away so I still use it for Gigs.
The newer V3 Rumbles are 8 ohms. The older V2 Rumbles are 4 ohms.
Bergantino CN212 and HDN212 cabs are 4ohm 2x12's. Both are rated at 700w and weigh 48lbs.

My very Favorite 4 Ohm Cab handles a lot more than 500 watts. The Barefaced SuperTwin(Lower Left). Actually all 3 of these are 4 Ohms. The Avatar 210 handles 600 Watts and sounds like a million bucks.
As a 4Ω cabinet will not be much louder than an 8Ω version may I humbly suggest that you buy an 8Ω cabinet. Doing so will allow you to add a second identical cabinet for a significant increase in volume and headroom. buying a 4Ω box limits you to one cabinet.
Keep in mind that having a 500 watt cab doesn't mean you cannot blow its speakers with a 500 watt head.
I use an 800 watt GK Neo 410 wired at 4 ohms with a 500 watt head and I still live in fear of blowing speakers. If I had money to burn and wasn't hung up on a certain bass, I would get two 8 ohm cabs, each rated at one million watts.

GK Neo 410 can be had at 4ohms.

I've got a Peavey 1x15 with a 600W 4Ω Carvin driver; it's survived 20 years of Ampeg thunder like it's no big deal. However, as I'm getting back into gigging, and wishing I could move more air, I'll be switching back to a couple of 8Ω cabs.
Yeah! How do they do that? I get eight speakers adding up to 4 Ohms, but six? What's the magic? Always been curious about that.

OTOH -- my GK 4x12 Neo is rated at 1200W at 4 Ohms and IMHO one is enough ;-) ...
Not sure there's a practical difference between one 4-Ohm 810 and two 8-Ohm 410's.

You, most likely, won't find one that'll sound good at that power. Not to mention that'll you'll most likely pop the speakers well before you hit the thermal power rating. Get one rated almost double, an you'll like it a lot more. Or 8ohms 500w is basically the same thing, just not as loud. Which is not a problem at all seeing as how you've got a 500w amp. That's well more than a lot of power.
I have a 16-year old 8-ohm VL-208 Euphonic Audio cabinet rated at 400 watts that doesn't even get interested until you put 700 watts to it. One of the keys is the sensitivity of the cab (this one is low—95 dB), the other is not to run the power amp wide open.
yes, it really depends on player needs. A 2 8ohm cab solution can offer more flexibility, but the OP may only care about using 1 cab.
Another example is the 4ohm Berg NV610. Not sure anyone would need to add another cab to that one.
