is there a 4 ohm cab that's rated 500 watts?

i'm curious why the Epifani DIST 210 can be switched from 8 ohm to 4 ohm?

Is this implying that if I were to use a single cab, it can be as powerful as a multi cab, if I switch it to 4 ohm?

Whilst it is true that 500W (into 4 ohms) is not twice as loud as 250W (into 8ohms), two 8ohm cabs (equalling 4ohms) will not be louder than one 4ohm cab.

This Is one of my favourites. It's a 4 ohm/500w cab.

I'd like to find a single 4 ohm cab that could utilize the 500 watt amp my Peavey Minimax has, is it possible?

Hopefully something lightweight exists, doesn't matter speaker amount or size.

Revsound rs210. Light and great sounding. It's about 31lbs.

Would amp type also be the determining factor as well? How about the bass? Does it also determine how much "bass" I can hear/feel? I think I read somewhere that an Ashbory bass guitar have been used for hip hop and drum n' bass music, so I'm assuming it puts out "subwoofer" bass tones than a standard/regular bass guitar.

Question is; would a single cab (4 ohm 2x10, 300 watts, with tweeter) sound a lot louder than it's supposed to be when playing an Ashbory bass vs. not an Ashbory bass?

"Sounds louder" is subjective.
Actual SPL is science. Some people like to substitute "sounds louder" in place of scientific measurement.
That's OK as long as we all understand that it's subjective. You like what you like.

Subwoofers are not a bass thing. It's bass, not sub-bass.
Some of us go to great lengths to limit lower bass frequencies, let alone trying to have sub bass freqs. See this...

Power is power. The same amount, regardless of the amp, will produce the same SPL with the same speakers.
The difference in amps is how they distort during overdrive.
That may present the sense of "Sounding louder" because you are listening to dissimilar waveforms.

It might be sub bass, but also might be a waste of amp power, IMHO.

It took my friend with the 13 Hz bass well over a decade to suss how to amplify it well. Haven't heard much
of a useful musical context (to me) just yet, but it's still incredibly fun to play.

My friend's rig isn't all that loud, or at least it wasn't in the context of NAMM. But you could very clearly hear it playing at the opposite end of Hall E if you knew what to listen for.

I use the Minimax through a 4 ohm Avatar 115 with great results. The cab is about 50 lbs. As a previous poster noted, Avatars resale value sucks. I found one on GC and called to confirm the ohms, as I only use a stand-alone and want to use it with my ETX260 as well--which I do.
