You are taking this too intense. You took a simple, innocent suggestion and turned it into something not resembling the intent of the original poster. This type of intensity, read by women here, is as non constructive as the ill you are trying to guard against.
"Precious": I hope that you find TalkBass to be a friendly and informative place, and that you can find the information and resources you're after. We don't have a forum dedicated to female players unfortunately. I do hope you do stick around - our viewership is only 1.3% female currently, and we need to change that!

Well that's exactly my point - how would you enforce this?
I appreciate your intention - but going on, many year of experience around here, as soon as the word 'female' was even mentioned, then it would be like a red rag to a Bull, attracting all those "cavemen"... of which you speak!!
So there are two practical problems :
1) People log on anonymously - many women especially log on anonymously, precisely to avoid the kind of "Neanderthal" attention you're talking about!
2) How would you keep the "sexist" men out - create a female poster identity - drawing attention ....
I think the sentiment is very noble - but practically-speaking, it is impossible to implement!
