Is there a small Tuner pedal that will work off 9v battery

Looking for a tuner pedal that will run off 9v battery power smaller than a TC Electronics Polytune so it will fit in the small accessory pocket of my gig bag - any suggestions?

Consider the ask: a pedal that small that will allow for 2 1/4" jacks, the PCB and the switch.

There is simply no room for a battery.

There are plenty of non-pedal tuners that are battery powered

Yep. The minute you have quarter inch connectors inserted there's no room for a battery.

I did not ask for a pedal smaller than a TC Polytone Mini - just one smaller than the standard Polytune pedal.

Does it have to be a pedal? There are plenty of clip-on headstock tuners.

I have the Polytune clip on tuner and its great but on my custom '54 style P bass there is barely enough room on the headstock to get a solid clip and its right were the builder signed and numbered the headstock so looking for a pedal alternative if there is one.

The Korg Pitchblack uses a 9v battery or a power supply and it is pretty small. Picks up my B string pretty well too

Could you attach an external battery? Not sure what you consider small, but the Boss TU-3S is the smallest tuner that I know of that will take a battery. and sits on the floor.

I looked at that Boss but is says you need their power supply - did not see a battery option. I've thought about a 9v battery clip that attaches to the power supply input on one of the micro tuners but I'll probably just keep using the TC Polytune and take up valuable space in my big pocket on the gig bag :>

Not the regular Pitchblack (it's bigger than the Polytune) but the Pitchblack Mini may work. It uses coin cell batteries.

Zoom MS60B has a built in tuner. Runs on a couple of AAs. Kinda convoluted, but you could also us the USB mini port on it to run it off of a cell phone charging battery. Not as small as a polytune mini, but i don't think any pedals that size take batteries...

Danelectro made a 9v pedal tuner that is smaller than any others I've seen. Sensitive enough to be annoying, but a reasonable choice if pedal board real estate is scarce.

+1. I’ve used my Korg Pitchblack for at least 11-12 years and counting. It’s rock solid and tracks the low notes easily. It’s not as small as the Polytune, but it is small, and I do carry mine in my gig bag pocket.

For at least the last year,every Chinese nano pedal I've bought came with one of these cables.

What I find strange is the US Amazon specs for the Rowin LT-901,cheap model I bought, say "does not work off battery". That's missing from the Amazon UK specs. Pedal works just fine running off a battery clip
