is there such thing as a lightweight Warwick?

A Carolena wood rockbass. I think it's the same as balsa wood. My straplock just pulled right out.
I have no idea what Warwick was thinking. I looked at a German Streamer Standard that was made of Carolena at a GC about 20-something years ago. They were blowing it out for around $300. The soapbar pickups were terrific (I'd love them on a Corvette or better Streamer) but the wood was ridiculously soft. You could easily made deep indentations with your finger nail. It literally felt like Balsa. It was certainly resonant. Fortunately, they were also blowing out a beautiful FNA for about $600.
