is there such thing as a lightweight Warwick?

Been thinking of ordering a Warwick, just curious if they make any models around 9lb? I'm not too familiar with their line, and any that I picked up at NAMM seemed pretty heavy. The older I get the lighter I'm looking at for basses Thanks!

According to my experience, the Streamers LX (early ones, 1996-2000) are pretty light.

There's a Streamer $$ available in a local store here in my country that is really light. Lighter than any bass I have, which makes it around 8lbs, maybe less.

The ones I had that were lightweight; Corvette Proline, Corvette FNA, Streamer LX, and a Streamer ProM. All were 5 strings.

I had that bass and it was incredibly light and balanced, but full of tone. I wish they still sold it or I still had mine. Beautiful bass.

A Carolena wood rockbass. I think it's the same as balsa wood. My straplock just pulled right out.

Try to find a used Warwick STD 5 II. You should be able to find one for a couple hundred dollars

I have one it is it very nice. The wenge and Ovangkol neck is flawless, good MEC pickups too. The only downside is the coralena body with is a little on the soft side and marks quite easily and the one piece bridge. Still tough enough to regularly use and abuse though.

my streamer lx 4 string is around 8.9lbs and my old dirty blonde had to be under 8lbs it was the lighest bass I've ever owned.

My streamer stage II is another story....

Not only is it very light, and full of tone, but is one of the best playing basses I've ever played. Plays like butter and feels made for my hands.
But, it's a Warwick...like I can afford those.

I have a limited Hot Rod Corvett with hollow tone chambers in the body. 5 string low 8 lbs.

Yes. I had a Corvette $$ 5 which was mid-8 lbs, a Corvette 5 Std ash which was 7.9lbs (!), and a Streamer LX which was right around 9 lbs.

It's the Bubinga, Ovangkol (though the Thumb I had wasn't too heavy, but I've heard some are), Afzelia, etc. (the exotic woods) you need to watch out for. Of course, those are, in my opinion, the better sounding and more desirable models.
