Actually, there was some snark in there, reflecting the fact that vastly different woods and materials were used in each bass. That said, there's no better way to sort out similarities and differences than giving it a solid go.

I think I'm just paying for the paint job, judging by prices. I know mahogony's and rosewoods are good woods, some of my guitars are made with them. I just don't know if they're good on ricks, although rickenbacker doesn't use them.
In general the Logicals are fine instruments. As you've read here already, they are pricier than buying directly from China, but for that price you are buying some QC control. Is it worth the extra amount? Hard to say, and any attempts at discussing things like that on this forum degrade into buffoonery thanks to the Rickenwaffen. As best as can be ascertained, it is probably best to buy direct yourself and do your own QC. If you want to hear what one of these basses sounds like and get some more info on them, check out @groucho's youtube video - the Logical is basically the same instrument as he reviews on that. The paint job is obviously unique, with that on there you've got to make a decision for yourself whether or not it is worth the dollars. If it were me, I'd pass at that price. $300 would make more sense, if not less.
Lol. Ive seen that guys video, I think the people in the forum aren't really understanding. I just want something to noodle on, I'm not a bassist. I just like the sound and body shapes. Can that clear rick picture even be real? That's crazy
Yeah, it is real. They have a line of lucite basses and guitars. Check out the links to the Logical site that you've been given here, you'll see more.
If you like the sound and the body shape - which totally makes sense, many others do - then go for it! It is still a little bit overpriced, but if it makes sense to you and you like the paint job, then snap it up and don't look back.

that said you could score something used in the classifieds for that price to noodle on that likely has better build quality

Ohh, I thought that was what was under the finish. I've been checking classifieds everywhere. It's so hard to make up my mind
I bought a squire jazz and hated it, I returned it a day later. The guy who plays bass in my band, left his fender jazz at my house for a few days and I messed around with it and they are so uncomfortable, in my opinion
I find their body much more comfortable than a P bass for example and if you hated the jazz your really gonna hate the Ric copy (or your forearm will lol)
my second suggestion would be an Ibanez SR series mainly for the smaller neck width (also my reason for the jazz suggestion) plus Ibanez tend to be well built instruments.... even the cheaper ones
Lol, I went to my local music store a while back and I liked the precision, I just didn't like the sound. A few people have told me to check out ibanez, their body shapes I've never been a fan of, but If my music store carries them, I'll try some
