The logo on the top of the headstock on one photo but not there in the order is odd, as others have pointed out. But what is more odd to me is that tuners are all positioned the exact same in both pics indicating it likely is a sticker the seller removed between shots. Kind of like a "whoops, I meant to take that off before I started taking pictures." To, me I think it is the same bass, but the black line on the body is weird.

Upon closer examination, my initial assessment was in error. Looking at a bunch of indicators, I'm pretty convinced that's the same bass.
The only thing that's different is that logo on the headstock, and FunkHead's right - probably just a sticker that got removed.
But. 700km is a long way to go to check out a bass.
I actually like the aesthetic of the black line. If it's covering a ding it was very tastefully done.
Might want to request more pics of that feature. Hard to see anything from the 2 pics provided .
And well spotted on the tuners.

Regardless if it was done by a luthier or by a DIY'er, it's a poor job. It will give you lots of problems with buzz and may give rise to neck instability. It could be corrected, but the cost to do so make this no bargain at all.
I am not disagreeing but I would like to further develop why you feel it's a poor job.
From what I am seeing, it looks like the removal of frets was pretty clean. There's not a lot of splintering or gouges. I've seen much much worse.
The filling of the fret slots I guess is the second step. Is that where you're seeing a poor job? Please educate us on what should have been done differently. ie; Maple veneer strips etc...
Also, Do you feel that a de-fret can ever be as good as a fret-less built that way from the start?

I wouldn't be willing to make a 1400-km round trip for a bass - ANY bass - and at the same time, given that it's a defretted bass, I wouldn't be willing to buy it without looking at it/playing it in person first. Not to mention that big, dumb black mark on the body...why would somebody do that?
Pretty sure Cort makes this exact model in a factory fretless, not to mention there are plenty of other factory fretlesses out there. I'd pass on this one.

If this was a factory bass or one made by a well known builder, I might go for it. This bass is a "pig in a poke", I would pass.
It’s pretty obvious that you can see that the filler lines are not flush with the fretboard….. probably used a filler that shrinks when it cures

For those of you who assumed i was going to drive there: this wasn't the plan. The idea was to swap two of my basses for this one that the seller has up for sale. And both of us would have to ship on the same day.
The pics in the ad weren't clear and that website doesn't offer the possibility of either zooming in or saving the pictures to my phone so i asked the person to send the pics by whatsapp, which he did.
In this picture i think we can clearly see the filler lines are not flush with the fretboard. That was actually the worrying aspect of it that made me turn to you guys, and your expertise.
i am no luthier myself & was wondering if this was normal or not. I would second @FunkHead's request to have a more in-depth explanation on why this is a poorly executed job. This is a great opportunity to learn.
And also this worries me. I asked the seller (before i zoomed in) if that was a sticker that could be removed without damaging the finish. He didn't reply, that was yesterday mornlng, & then i zoomed in, and took it to Talkbass.
Anyway, i guess the consensus is pretty obviously against getting that bass, so i'll just wait for mine to sell. Thank you all very much for chiming in! Much appreciate it!!

The slots appear to have wood filler in them. Wood filler is not hard enough to replace the frets in a structural sense. So the neck may not be very stable.
It looks like you would need to remove the filter and put in maple veneer strips to finish the job correctly. I doubt an actual luthier would’ve done it the way it is now.
He wasn't talking about the Cort logo but about a more discrete black sticker that is at the far end of the headstock.
But i did look closely at the patterns in the flamed top of both the body & the headstock, & as others have concluded: all the shots show the same bass, pre & post removal of the sticker.
Pretty Odd. Tunes are in exact same positions the angle of the slot, and the angle of the peg seem to match. The fuzz on the strings match. That logo thing is odd for sure.
This was a lovely bass, right up until someone took a cheap marker and drew some weird line on it. Seeing this ridiculously badly done "paint job" I highly doubt the craftmanship and care going into everything else that has been done to that poor bass. Who knows what has been done to the neck and truss rod? Have the electronics been tampered with?
I'd take a pass on this one.
