I am thinking about buying this Jazz body from craigslist. But, my concern is how can I determine if this is a MIM Fender vs a Squire body? I'm not sure how I would tell. Here's the link: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] Thanks!

New Squiers have shielded cavities, too. I've never seen those kinds of markings in a Squier neck pocket, though. Could always run it by Fender with the SN in the pocket. It looks like MIM to me. The new MIMs have shielded body cavities. Not sure about Squiers but I don't think they do.
My Squier is only thinner than my MIM because my MIM has 1/8" thick paint all the way around (making it 1/4" thicker overall).I believe the MIM Fender bodies are about 1/4" thicker front to back than the Squiers. A dead give away.
