Is this asking too much?

Hello. Quick question.. I use 2 basses at some gigs, only have one input on my amp and wanted to know if there was something I could use to easily switch between the 2 without unplugging AND have it set up wireless. Is this possible? Thanks.

sorry...read your post too quick...didn't notice the wireless

1) get a second transmitter pack on the exact same Freq

2) go back to cables and an A/B switch

3) get a mute footswitch, share the strap with both basses...simple, unplug/plug

4) Find a Two Bass > One Channel wireless

5) 2 wirelesses/2 channel amp....this is what I do!!!!

My wireless has a little mute switch that allows me to do this with ease.

Two transmitters on the same frequency is the way to do this. Mute one, unmute the other.

I think you will actually find that the 2 transmitters/1 receiver option won't actually work. If you forget to turn one transmitter off while you use the other one (and you invariably will at some point), it will send signal into your receiver and cancel the signal on the transmitter you want to use. Best thing to do is just use 1 transmitter for both basses and mute it when you unplug, and if you don't want to unplug, use two wirelesses and an ABY box.

Also true. I think the best option is to either hire a roadie that you can fire in case he doesn't turn off the transmitter.

Mate, i do the same thing. But what i do is i have a neuatrik silent jack on my wireless, and my wireless is taped to my guitar strap. When i change, i just unplug the jack, take of the strap and put it on the other guitar, takes a whole of 20 seconds.

There are plenty of companies that make two (or more) channel wireless systems in a one-rack unit. Sabine and Sony come to mind. Same unit, two transmitters on different frequencies.

My singer and I used used the same Sabine unit, him with a mic and me with my axe. Worked great, until Sabine wanted us to pay up or send the equipment back. We were broke, so...it was fun while it lasted.
