Yes... very interesting, although far too much in the asking, still, he wants what he can get I suppose. Very tempted to try this for myself however. Just a pet project for me you understand.

I can read just fine. The first four words in the title are:

Sunburst Fender Telecaster Bass

That is not a Fender Telecaster Bass, and the guy is clearly misrepresenting the item.

He's a prevaricator, aka lyin' mofo, and the fact that he never says it's a Squier proves that.

It's first year production for the Telecaster II bass. The Sunburst is rare on those and might have been a custom color option on the Tele II. I'm not sure. The 3tSB is one of the reasons I snatched it up even though it's not 100 %. It was active (why on a mudbucker?) at one time so has a rout under the guard for an extra pot and a 9v batt.

It's a great player and for looks I'd rate it a 9 easy. Almost no finish wear on the body, neck, or hardware. Still very glossy. Pots and bridge cover are non original. The neck is real flamey and looks like it's a one piece Maple, although I've never seen another Tele II that was.

It has old school bottom. Just kills for blues and classic rock stuff.

Well... I may well base my telebass replica on yours... looking at a new pickguard from Warmoth... hope they fit! Extra hole for a tone pot though. Don't know wether to relic or not. Prob another thread.
