I would be sure ask if the active electronics are working. Seems I've read in various threads, ads, etc. that the electronics tend to go on those. It probably still works passively, but there's a chance some of those knobs might not be doing much.
i never knew images were so finicky about the device. i even tried quoting so i could see the code of the original post.
@Wooftag just makin sure you realize that this is a left handed bass...
From memory, these things weigh a tonne (which is less than a ton, but still very heavy). But they played great and are quite sought after, so yeah, if it's working, it's worth it.

Those a re great basses, that's a good price, but I bet it's super heavy, like 10~12 lb, so take that into consideration.
The weight is usually between a Jazz Bass and a Precision Bass. I’ve had my Ibanez Musician since new in 1984 when I bought it to replace my stolen Fender Precision. It’s as reasonably light/heavy and as comfortable an instrument as any I’ve played. I’ll have to go back and check but I think mine came in under 8 lb 9 oz when a friend weighed it several years ago.
FWIW I’ve played 3- and 4-hour sessions with it and, while I was tired at the end, I wasn’t begging for a BenGay poultice.

A tonne is, in fact, greater than a ton. Tonne (1000 Kg or 2200 lb) expresses metric measure while ton (2000 lbs) is English measure.
Not Wooftag, but going by the hardware, I'd say a 1980 or '81. By the neck pickup position, I'd say a 1981. (Possibly late '80.)
And the saddles appear to be positioned for intonation for a bass strung right-handed.
I had a Roland Cube bass combo that was orange. it was killer for the time. Now it might seem like it weighs a ton. Same with the bass. If I remember I tried one in Seattle Music in the early 80's and it felt kind of like an Alembic in weight--in a good way. I love those old basses but at my age I'm all about light gear now. My SR300EL weighs a little over 7 pounds, is thin and contoured and is ready to scrap with the best of them. Nice looking bas though!
If I were young and living in Europe I would definitely go and try out the bass. Then haggle about the price!
