Is This Legit?

So I found this Fender P for sale right down the road from me and was just curious what you guys thought about it being the real deal. It says it's an 80's Japanese for $150. I don't know much about the differences in tone across the different models of P Basses but I've been craving a P for a while now. Plus I need a bass after only having an acoustic for so long now.

Any thoughts please let me know.

I saw that one yesterday and called the guy and left a message...never heard back from him...tried again this am and his voicemail box is FULL...I'd almost guarantee that it's already been snatched up....gotta be quick on our cl these days. I've got an 87 japanese pbass and it's my favorite bass out of 12...if they have the jv in the serial number they're really sought after:

and just the regular 80's mij precisions are going in the $500 range

Someone got a killer deal!!! The seller should have educated himself before putting it up for sale...Buyer Beware but also Seller Be Aware!!!
