Is this Louis Johnson?

I believe that Bobby Watson, Rufus bassist, produced this album, but this track sure sounds like the late Louis Johnson going all thumbs! The overall sound reminds me of Quincy Jones, who was the hot producer at the time. The album came out in 1980, maybe two years after Bobby Watson had played the title track on Off the Wall for Quincy.

Sorry for the confusion, Bobby Watson only played on Rock With You, but I think Quincy Jones influenced Watson's production style.

I've been watching a lot of George Duke live 1983
W LJ on bass.

He really had a distinctive sound thumping AND with finger funk.

I've always wanted a bass w MM in the middle and a jazz in bridge. So I could get Thunder Funk and Finger-Fart in one axe.
