And, by the way..... 80s is "ancient"????
The cause of your effect there is that the sunlight completely dries out the material. Mold requires moisture to live and grow, so by dessicating it the mold is neutralized, so to speak, but the mold will return if the material is allowed to become damp again.I'm going to defer to you on that. I'm sure there are some molds than can withstand sun. That said, I have never encountered one. I've had moldy bass cases, briefcases, flower pots that mainly were in shade, etc. Setting them in the sun always did the trick. It even gets rids of smoke smell in plush case lining. I'm sure I'm not coming across the variety of molds you've encountered.

I resent that remark. When were kids and we saw something like that we'd shout, "It's got The Cooties!" and run away.
Oh, if 80's is "ancient," then I date from the big bang! And, by the way..... 80s is "ancient"????
And I resemble that remark: I had one of those games as a boy.
Isn't that zinc plating oxidation, 'white rust'?
Made in China? OH NO!!!! We know what that really is!!

weight?
It's the previous owners finger dust.
Of course! I traded a classic for it and paid the difference in value between the two, I might trade back cause I sorta miss the classic a bunch, IMO the classic sounds like a hybrid between the pre-eb Sabre and the eb Sabre, I feel like the classic has very very slightly bigger pickups too. However this sounds gorgeous in its own right, so I probably am leaning towards keeping it. Most handsome bass I have by a mile80s Sabre?! I am one of the 17 Sabre fans on here - can you post some more pictures of the bass?
