The P/MM configuration is achievable and works well. Have the MM mounted up against the P pickup and it will sound good. The 3mm overlap between the two sweet spots is inconsequential. I did a similar project with a G&L Kiloton but added a BigRig pickup in the P position and had the passive electronics modified to add a 2nd volume for the P pickup. The Kiloton already had a series/parallel/single coil switch for the MFD pickup which would have to be added for the MM pickup. Single coil has a nice tone but enough hum that I don’t use it much. Series and parallel operation is quiet. I also didn’t want to modify the control cavity or add another pot so I went with a stacked volume pot. I really like how it turned out and the ability to isolate or blend the tones gives it a wider palette to use. Here is a link to my project. Post #19 shows the final diagram. I would think your configuration would be similar.

I read about all those issues, and that’s why I did what I did.
Completely passive P circuit separate from an active MM preamp. Controlled by switch (did consider having two input jacks, but thankfully thought of the switch).
How will the sound be if both humbucker and p pickup is passive?
