Is this too much Doom????

As long as it sounds good to me, doesn't fart out on a low A# and is in my budget.

Damn right!

+1!

Or you could bi-amp and run a nice Midrange compression driver for 2-4k. Community makes some that will cut like a laser.
That would be the ultimate "smile curve" rig!

Exactly. The OP says it right here, " low A#".

As long as you have some help with those cabs, shouldn't be an issue. Don't want to give yourself a hernia.

-3dB point is above the E string. -10dB point is *at* the E string. No doom here, folks.

Second: Great efficiency, but max SPL for this driver count/size and this cab size/weight is nothing to write home about.

Also look at the porting.

This one gives me a strong case of Meh. I'm just sayin'.....

When I saw Om, Al Cisneros had a pair of (full range) 4x15's as well as a pair of 4x12's. I'd call this a good start.

More importantly, what local bands play doom?!?! Wasn't aware of any W WA doomers, Melvins aside.

-10 dB @40 Hz. And that's advertised! Doom free.

I actually don't even play "Doom" music. I do play heavy downtuned stuff with a little groove. Some of it pretty slow, most probably in the mid-tempo range. Don't even have a band yet............YET.
