Is Wishbass right for me?

The WB posted on page 1 looks like a good instrument if you want to kill someone with it. Kids aren't typically the most pragmatic of persons, but...if money is an issue, the most pragmatic approach is to order an SX for a hundred bucks.

Hey!!! I own a Banana bass (duh, my avatar) - it's been refinished, restrung and has a K&K pup and is just the koolest thing! I do admit, it's pretty "Plan 9 From Outer Space-ish", though.

Seriously, these are best left for an older, 'quirkier' player or collector. (that's putting it mildly!)

UPDATE:

I completely dropped the idea of getting a Wishbass when I found a Stagg fretless that was being sold for about $300 at a local music store. It just clicked when I got my hands on it, and I bought it two days later. So that should hold me up until I have enough freedom to get a Wishbass. Yes, I might still get one in the future, just to have something different. To answer the question of somebody whose name escapes me, I mainly want the long fingerboard because I want to be able to play higher notes when I do solos, which is quite often.

You guys can keep discussing Wishbasses here, though.
