Hey brains trust,
Got my eye on a PB70 on Ishibashi, great price. Even with shipping, it undercuts the local sellers by $150-$200 AUD.
But, when I contact Ishibashi, they claim they cannot export basses with RW boards outside of Japan due to CITES?
How did the local Australian sellers, who are carrying quite a reasonable amount of stock, get their hands on these used Japanese basses, if Ishibashi can't send them?
Also, I bought a used Squier P bass (with a RW board) from Japan a few weeks back, no problems, no mention of CITES. Did I just get lucky there?
This CITES malarkey is annoying & confusing.
