My band just off the cuff worked on Miss You by the Stones the other night and I had played it in the early 80s so I was ready to bounce some octaves up and down the neck. We are going to add it to our song list. We already do Satisfaction, Brown Sugar and Start Me Up.
My vote is "Shame" by Evelyn Champagne King. Whatever your musical taste; The bass is killer and the arrangement is perfect!

Around ten years ago, or so, when I saw Steve Hackett at my local Borders (now sadly, gone) I was talking with him, and he remembered that gig!

Unfortunately I don't have anything old school disco to really add, everything I can think of is quite a bit more on the funkier side of things - midnight star, fatback band, o'bryan, zapp. lots of great posts in this thread, discovered quite a few songs I haven't heard before, so thank you!
