To be honest, I'm with the "I'd give him a reasonable offer for it, and give it a warmoth body" camp. The body is a bit "out there" for me as-is, but the neck is probably salvageable, and the whole package probably has all kinds of stories to tell.

You know, if you think about it, that Bass could actually land the starring role in a really bad, 'After School Special', TV movie.
You know, at one time, it probably looked pretty nice. I'm guessing it used to wear Tort and Flatounds, played Motown, Blues, Rock, or maybe Jazz. Then it started hanging out with people who did drugs and had access to (gasp!) power tools.
An-all-too-often told tale, of a good Bass gone bad.

Trying to figure out a reason for the mod and all I can come with is maybe the owner wanted to play arco? That could explain the body mod and the ultra high action.

Some idiot messed that Fender up, I looked at all the pics the body's shot, neck even worse, you can see down the fret board and the frets are all messed up, there sticking up here to low there. Oh and the G string is a mile high and off the fret board, can't imagine the bridge and electronics. Bass and case no more than $30.00 what a piece of crap because of man, HEE HEEEEE!!!! Man destroys everything.

I have been in touch with this guy a few times and have explained that he is dreamin' dreamin' about the price. I told him he would probably get more in the end by parting it out, but obviously he doesn't believe me. Moron. So sad.
