It's Riddle Time!

Double Whammy.

You have a nine gallon jug, a five gallon jug, and a fifty gallon tank. You have a limitless supply of water. Pour precisely forty-seven gallons of water into the tank.

Maybe there's some limit I'm not seeing, but can't you just fill and dump out the 9 gallon jug 3 times, and the 5 gallon jug 4 times?

Machines A, B, and C produce ball bearings. Two machines produce one oz. bearings, but one is malfunctioning and producing 1.1 oz. bearings. You may weigh any combination of any number of bearings from any machine, ONCE. Which machine is malfunctioning?

Weigh 10 bearings from A, and 1 from B, at the same time. If it's 12 ounces, A is the problem, if it's 11.1 ounces, B is the problem, if it's 11 ounces, C is the problem.

Weigh 10 bearings from A, and 1 from B, at the same time. If it's 12 ounces, A is the problem, if it's 11.1 ounces, B is the problem, if it's 11 ounces, C is the problem.

Let's try the water jug one again.

You have a 3 gallon jug and a 5 gallon jug. Find a way to perfectly achieve 4 gallons of water.

Fill up the 5 gallon jug and use it to fill the 3 gallon jug. You now have 2 gallons left in the 5 gallon jug. Pour that in your target receptacle. Repeat to get your 4 gallons.

OR...

Fill up the 3 gallon jug and pour it in the final receptacle. Fill up the 3 gallon jug again and pour it in the 5 gallon jug. Fill the 3 gallon jug one more time and use it to fill the remaining 2 gallons in the 5 gallon jug. That leaves 1 gallon in your 3 gallon jug which you pour into the original 3 gallons giving you 4 gallons.

Esther drove to work in the morning at an average speed of 45 miles per hour. She returned home in the evening along the same route and averaged 30 miles per hour. If Esther spent a total of one hour commuting to and from work, how many miles did Esther drive to work in the morning?

Here's another one.

Four men are crossing a bridge by night. One can cross in 1 minute, Two in 2 minutes, Three in 5 minutes, and Four in 10 minutes. To cross, they must carry a lantern, and a maximum two may cross simultaneously (when two people cross, it takes the longer of the two times to cross). Can they all cross in 17 minutes?
 
One more, and then I'll leave you all in peace to figure them out.

Three men spend the night at a hotel. They pay for a $30 room, each giving $10 for their share. When they go to their room, however, the manager realizes that the room is on sale for $25, and gives $5 to the bagboy to return to the men. The bagboy goes to give back the five dollars, and when he does, the men take it, but give the bagboy $2 as a tip, thereby keeping one dollar each for themselves. However, one of the men is disturbed, remarking, "Hey, we each spent 9 dollars just now, since we got one back, which means $27 total, right? Plus the $2 we gave the bagboy, that's only $29! Where's the extra dollar?"

There's a logical mistake in the last 2 sentences. The room cost $25, not $27. The $25 room plus the $2 tip = $27. They each spent $9 and 9x3=27. There is no missing money.
