Ordinarily I believe that you do what you want and live with the outcome, but the chrome-offset black-chrome combo really does detract from the look. I hope it sounds incredible.

Completely new pickup at the time designed by Seth Lover, along with its guitar counterparts that were seen in Telecaster Deluxe/Custom/Thinline and Starcaster 6-string models in the '70s.

It was Fender's answer to Sidewinder/Mudbucker, and a pretty convincing one at that, IMO.

Very cool. Off to YouTube to hear that beast in action!

I have a Squier reissue with that pickup and it sounds just like a mudbucker.
