i've ordered a stingray, but trouble

sorry for the cryptic name

hi i just ordered my first stingray to long and mcquade from the warehouse and once it get's there i have 30 days to pay for it. only problem is, i'm $1000 short of the final price.

it's a 20th Anniversary stingray 5 HH with a maple fretboard and a matching headstock.

so right now i need a job and i'm probably still going to have to finance it for a few months. i figure by the time i have to pay i'll have $2,500 and'll only be $200 0ff, i'll see if i can get a loan for the rest. but anysuggestions on how to carry the rest of the money i won't be able to make

the reason it's so expensive is i'm a canadian and i live in my most taxed province in the country

sorry if i've broken a rule by placing price amounts

no i'm looking for really high end bass and it's not like i won't have the cash ever. i could repay any loan i'd take out within september. it's just i can't get all the cash right now. but i have a month to scrounge.

i hate cheap basses and after having played this one i'll never be able to sit with an OLP. plus i have more than 1/2 of the money needed. i have 2/3 not including the tax

Why did you order it in the first place, if you ain't got the money. . . ? :rollno:

Although, if you are willing to make a trip to Mexico and then to Miami, I have a "contact" that might have a job for you. He'll provide the car, just drive and don't ask any questions.

i'm not goign to run drugs but i've ordered it to the store. if after 30 days i cannot pay for it the bass'll just go on the floor to whomever wants to buy it

I've usually gone for bargain gear but the one time I borrowed to buy my George Benson guitar ($900 used)it was well worth it. Just don't be irresponsible by buying gear you can easily live without or by not paying off your debts.

What's so great about the 20th Anniversary Edition that the standard MM doesn't have - must be pretty badass to ask over $1k more for it?

well $700 more actually because i live in Ontario Canada so our dolalr is worth less and we have a 14% sales tax. but it just sounds that much better. it has better pickups, better pre-amp, a different construction (slightly/tone block) and has a more expensive finish

There are a few small but pretty cool improvements - one thing is that it's a convertible bridge design (or just string-thru :( ? ) which I'm pretty sure has been quite a desireable upgrade for Music Man owners for a long time - I think they also have some sort of tone chamber design? The body is chambered with a mahogany tone block running down the middle or something to that effect, clever stuff - there is a FANTASTIC video review of it on YouTube and some effective research should dig it up.

don't forget the alnico magnets in the pickups and a re designed pre-amp
