I grinded each knob for 5 mins a piece, and soaked in etchant for 15 seconds. I repeated this process twice for each knob.

I can't wait to get that grounding strap!

How do you rinse the etchant?

Rinse with water, dry, spray with WD-40, dry, and they're ready!

Let me clarify; each knob went through the grinding/etchant process twice. It seemed to work pretty well.

The TB community rules. Exaltbass was kind enough to send me a bridge grounding strap for free!!! This will make my bass look so much more authentic that the copper tape I had installed!

It arrived a little bent, but it will be easy to bring back into shape.

I don't think so. I think it wraps around the pickup space. It's pretty flat.

It seems pretty simple to install. The bridge pins the strap down on one end, and it's soldered to a grounding plate in the pickup cavity.

I dry fitted my ground strap to the body. Looks like an easy fit. Thank god!

Sorry it got bent. I thought the bubble wrap would protect it... at least it straightened out. Lookin' good!

Ordered my pickups today!!!! Sadly, Kevin Kaufman won't be back in the shop until Nov 19th. This wait is going to kill me. I have my two P Basses and this one that are standing by for his skillful caress. Oh the humanity!

Is that an Onori strap? I have an Onori (black and grey) strapped to my ATK700 right now. It's one of the best/most comfortable straps I've ever had.

It is an Onori. Its my first time not using an EB nylon strap. It was the only aged brown strap I could find that didn't look like a country western star owned it.
