I agree with that, and yet the low gain settings, plus the blend knob, mean that you can get a good range of options for low-gain grit. It's a great pedal.

100% agree with this. I flipped mine because I thought it rolled off too much high end. I still wanted a little more sizzle even when the tone was dimed. Was a shame because it really does have an awesome character and insane range of gain.

So it reduces the treble in your sound even with the tone dimed? Maybe I should look elsewhere then. I use a CAL Grizzly, but always have the treble all the way up, which is pretty transparent. Reduced highs sound good at home, but in a band mix that's what helps you poke through, IMO.

I've changed my setup to a Capo, which handles a lot of my overdrive needs, and I also added two rack mount SansAmp preamps, an RBI and the GED-2112. I still think LD is a great pedal, but I've found a different path to the tone I'm looking for with these. The Tech 21 Street Driver 48 is also fantastic.

I've replaced a Microtubes (and so many other dirt pedals) with the Lucydreamer and I'm super happy with it. I use it for mild OD. It sounds organic without changing too much the sound of the bass that goes thru it. I mostly play Sadowsky's and Moollon.

The other dirt pedals on my board are a Shift Line Buzz V2 and a Capo (that I use as a preamp more than a distortion pedal).

I really think the lucydreamer should get more success.

I believe it has a trimpot inside to set the volume of the high-gain side.

I've been enjoying it. I also picked up a Rattler Bass from JAM. I've been going back and forth between the three pedals on my board depending on the sound I'm looking for.
