JANEK GWIZDALA PODCAST

I was just running into too many limitations with the podbead podcast format for what I want to present with this new video site. So I'm making the new thing air tight in terms of usability and fluidity. Subscriptions and logins will be a lot easier to manage for members, and the content will just be far superior in quality and more varied in options for how and where to view it.

I know it's a bit of a more tenuous issue, but have you considered downloadable content? I rarely have time between work and practice to watch anything, but love to when traveling or when on the train, etc. Streaming is not usually possible in those circumstances, though. The podcasts were available on iTunes, so I was able to listen to your entire podcast series on trains in Japan, which was fantastic.

Are there plans in the future to make any of the video content available via iTunes or similar (or just downloadable directly)? It's an entirely different can of worms understandably, but I was curious.

we're planning for all the content to be downloadable so that people can take it with them on the go. And also options for mobile device optimization for iPhones and the like.

The videos will not be available through iTunes as mine is a privately run website. And even with the podcast model of doing things I can't sell the material through iTunes, it all has to be available for free there.

I'll still be keeping up the free audio podcasts though which will be available through iTunes still.

Excellent... Looks like you've thought of everything.. This is gonna be cool.
Have a great Christmas.

after the overwhelming response to the video podcast series I started in the beginning of December, I've spent the past few weeks filming and editing video footage, and designing and launching a site dedicated to video lessons. Members will have access to a growing archive of video lessons with a new video added every week. I'm also going to be uploading a set of 10-15 5min technique/practice routine/fundamental series of videos. Lessons throughout the site will range in level from beginner to expert. I have a forum for members to interact in, upload your own videos, and access a network of peers and musicians from around the world.

I hope you get a chance to drop in to the site and check out some free videos on the front page and investigate becoming a member.

having trouble with the Paypal link. Every time I try to sign in to pay for membership it says "The link you have used to enter the PayPal system is invalid. Please review the link and try again." I tried maybe 10 times.

Hi Janek,

USERNAME : SOULPRANO
I need your help.
I've a Quarterly Recurring Membership for video lesson that I just got on 1 Jan 11.
but now I can't sign in and the system said that "This Account is inactive." I try to reset my password many times but I still doesn't work. So could you check if there're something wrong.

Please contact me via the "contact" tab on the lessons site with your email so I can check the account.

I'll need the exact name and email address used when you set up the account, and the email address associated with your paypal account.

Thanks,

Janek

for anyone who isn't on my mailing list... I just released a limited edition of Live at the 55bar with 100% new music from one of the alternate recording nights when we were making the album. The release also includes rehearsal tapes, and original programmed studio demos. And there's also a special bonus track for anyone who downloads the entire album...
