Jaydee basses

Well I have just got a new job which will be bringing in more $ so I have been looking for having a custom fretless made and ran across Link Removed . He seems to be making some really great stuff. I sent him an email today for an all white fretless.. anyone heard of this guy

That company is a legend...Mark King used their stuff religously, so much so he had several sig. models I would say he still does, just not as much as his Status gear. You will not go wrong with this company! I am quite jealous! Congrats and Good Luck!

John Diggens started out at John Birch in the UK in the '70s. While at JB John built Jim Leas custom Bass. John got Jim to put up his bass as a pattern for my one of replica of Jim Lea's bass! I can not say enough good things about John or Jaydee basses. It will be a once in a life time experience ! Jim holding his bass and mine

Beautiful! Kind of....vintage, modern! Thanks for that!

You DO realize he's in the UK and you are not, right?
I just hope the "side costs" (customs duties, intl shipping)dont outweigh the value of the bass.

I gotta say though-that SG bass really has me drooling! No doubt about it-the guy's GOOD!

Listen to the self-titled Blue Murder album. That beautiful fretless sound Tony Franklin is getting is from a JayDee bass. Get a copy of the TF Fretless Bass video, and you get to watch him put it to work. As I understand, he recently sold that bass-wish it was to me!!!:D

Congrats, great choice. On the advice of session guy I knew I bought a supernatural as a teenager new back in 84-85, a year or so before it changed to the "Mark King" model. I had to use the bus to pay for it for a couple of years. This is still my bass of choice, no other neck feels like it. I have NEVER been tempted to sell it, not ever. If you like a sublime action and an increadibly fast neck you will be over joyed with Johns basses. There is a reason you dont see these basses up for sale often, once you have one you're hooked. I dont have a great photo with me, but its the one on the far right.
