Double Bass Jazz Licks: Bass Clef Version

Also, where is the best place to buy the different versions of the book?

All books are listed at www.bopland.org/books and are sold by amazon.com. I wouldn't like anyone to buy all of them. Picking up the one that is needed and sharing feedback even a critical one in Amazon review could as well be a great option. With regards to the site, hopefully it will run for a bit longer on Github pages than it did previously on other technology.

Thanks a lot for your support and interest! Really appreciate it.

Another question: have you considered making ebook versions of the books?

Sheet music is pretty much different from text when trying to lay it out as an e-book. The thing is that unlike text, sheet music is generated as a number of png images with fixed resolution. The challenge is to cerate an e-book version which would fit all devices out there: Phones, tablets, PCs. Along with some technical limitations and requirements of CreateSpace and Amazon this does not seem an easy task. There was an attempt to create an e-book for guitar licks which was not very successful. So no ETA about e-book versions now :(

Are there free copies still available please?
I'd of course pay for shipping to Canada.
Thanks!
Best regards.
I don’t know about anymore free copies, but the website above is chocked full of pages of bass line melody ideas and another section of walking bass lines. It’s under the “Jazz Lick” drop down menu. There’s enough info there to stay busy for a while. It also appears you can print them if needed for students. This is a great site.

The bopland.org website was down for quite some time. Now it's back with an improved design and UX. I hope it will develop further for as long as it can. We will see.

Visiting this page will give you random licks each time you open it. Same for the walking bass lines here.

There is a chance I will have some more copies of the Jazz Licks to give away in a couple of weeks. I will let you know.

Cheers.

I just purchased it. Excellent book. A lifetime of material to work on and apply in my playing. Great work.

I hadn't seen this thread before, nor was I aware of your site. Very impressive work... Thank you!
