Jazz or Precision Bass

How does one adjust to the wider string spacing of an older P bass after strictly playing Jazz's for a good 2 years? I've tried a Road Worn Precision and . I have a good deal on a '62 P bass re-issue but I'm scared I won't adjust to the spacing

I go back and forth quite a bit with all my basses. I've found that the width at the bridge is much more important for my playing comfort. When I added a P-Bass I played it exclusively for gigs for a while and practiced with the Jazz. No sweat, but I also had a Mustang in the stable at the time too (see avatar).

Don't be scared.....it took me about a week to adjust to the wider P Bass neck

I like the sound of a Jazz, but prefer the neck of of P-Bass. And wider the better.
