JC Basses 5 String Semi-Hollow

A lot of work has been done since my last update. I inlayed the abalone dot markers as well as the side dot markers. I made the truss rod channel, installed the truss rod and glued on the fretboard. I glued on the headstock veneer and drilled the tuner holes. Lastly, I came up with a rough estimate of where the knobs will go, but I will probably use mini knobs instead.

I can't wait to slide my hands up and down this puppy...... Wait, that sounds weird...... You know what I mean!... ;)
Does it have an Asymmetrical profile? It's hard to tell from the photo....
Now I REALLY can't wait!! haha

I tried to finish up this bass as much as possible so all I have left to do is sand and finish. I got most of the way there, but not quite. All the knob holes have been drilled. Same with straplock holes, output jack hole, tuner screw holes, truss rod cover screw hole, control cavity cover holes and pickup wire/bridge ground holes. I also made the neck asymmetrical and have it about finished. I went ahead and added a black veneer to the heel of the neck to give it a little more height and a nice transition. Lastly, I stampped the serial number "JC0917" on the back of the headstock.

18mm bridge, 10mm graphite nut. :)

Do you usually keep the string centers at an equal distance, or the string sides at equal distance, for both nut and bridge (or do you the bridge one way and the nut another)? Do you usually do it that way? how do the 2 way compare playing-feel wise?
Also, the taper of the neck looks very comfortable. I want to use the deminsions for the fretless I am planing. How wide is it at its widest point (not including the head)

I usually do it center-to-center simply because that is what the bridge (Hipshot) and nut (Carvin) make them as. So I cannot comment on the difference.

The neck is just under 3" wide at the 26th fret. Just calculate 18mm center to center for the bridge and 10mm center to center for the nut. Make sure to add in 4-5mm on each side for fretboard overhang. It is 35" scale too. Then you will be set, don't worry about 24th fret width.
